On weekends in winter, we walk in our minds, the fairways of Arizona golf courses. There we stay out of trouble, occasionally playing a great recovery shot from the rough and never lose a ball. We expect pars, enjoy birdies and with sportsman like grace accept the rare bogey.
Yet, when reality generously presents us a round of golf in that enchanted landscape, we of course, experience a different topography and score.
Happiness in golf, like life, is an issue of gently adjusting ones expectations and appreciating the tranquility and terrain of our errors.
